Laconia———Miss Albina R. Guay, 90, of 406 Court Street died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Sunday, March 31, 2002.

Miss Guay was born November 5, 1911 in Laconia, NH, the daughter of James J. & Albina (Dutrizac) Guay and was a life time resident of Laconia.

Miss Guay served in the U. S. Army Air Force during World War II. She worked as an executive secretary for 47 years for the New England Telephone Co. and retired in December of 1976. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America; A.A.R.P., and the American Legion, Wilkins-Smith Post #1. She was an avid golfer.

Miss Guay was a communicant of St. Joseph Church and a member of the Ladies Guild.

Survivors include a sister, Irene Converse, of Manchester, NH and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by three brothers, Albert “Babe” Guay, Arthur O. Guay, and Rev. Leo Guay, S.J.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2002 from 3-5 PM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH. using the Carriage House entrance.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Church, Church Street, Laconia, NH. Rev. Gary Kosmowski, Pastor of the Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the family lot at St. Lambert Cemetery, Laconia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Holy Trinity School, Scholarship Fund, 50 Church Street, Laconia, NH 03246 or the N.H. Humane Society, POBox 572 Laconia, NH 03247-0572.
